Work experience in the vegetable garden
Come and live an experience similar to Workaway or WWOOFing – to discover new places, work the land, and live community life.
If you have experience and expertise, or just a desire to delve deeper into integral ecology, or a desire to be of service, the vegetable garden, orchard, park and house are waiting for you.
We can welcome you for a period of 2 to 6 weeks. We offer accommodation in the abbey (single room and shared bathroom).
Tourism internship for visitors
Hautecombe Abbey is the most visited monument in Savoie, with over 50,000 visitors passing through each year.
Dive into the fascinating history of this 900 year old abbey – the history, the art, the heritage.
Train in the field of tourism – welcoming visitors to the tour and shop, being part of a team, enjoying the beauty of a unique place, experiencing the rhythm of the abbey.
International Civic Service
Have you decided to do a civic service next year, and are you looking for an assignment that might match your wishes?
You are welcome to join the abbey!
We currently have 4 positions for 2 civic service missions:
– a mission in the field of tourism (welcoming visitors)
– a mission in the vegetable garden and orchard, and maintenance of the park

Revising for exams
Spend some time away from the world, in silence and in nature, while revising your exams.
The abbey is a good place to revise your exams alone or with your friends.
You will find a space where you can work in peace and concentration.
We also invite you to join us for all the times of prayer and/or for a time of exchange and sharing with members of the Chemin Neuf Community.
The rooms are individual, the meals are prepared by us using, according to the seasons, the products of the vegetable garden and the orchard of the abbey and are served in the guest house.

Hautecombe Discipleship School [HDS]
Through a life of prayer, spiritual and human formation, Hautecombe Discipleship School [HDS][HDS] offers the possibility to grow in the knowledge of Christ and discover your calling.
Each year, young adults from all over the world take time out to be grounded in their faith, to become disciples, and transform the world.
