The abbey
The discipleship school is located at Hautecombe Abbey, on the shores of Lake Bourget, surrounded by the mountains of Savoy.
Nestled beside a lake and between mountains, the beauty of its location invites worship and contemplation.
The most visited monument in the department, Hautecombe Abbey is known for its prayer life, its rich history, its heritage and its art.
The discipleship school and a place for young adults
For over 900 years, generations of religious have prayed at Hautecombe Abbey. In 1992, the Chemin Neuf Community took over at the request of the Archbishop of Chambéry, in order to continue the life of prayer and to welcome visitors.
The community chose to establish an international centre of formation for young people aged 18-30, in order to equip them to build foundations for their Christian life.
Every year young people from all over the world come to experience a particular moment:

Work experience and placements – in the vegetable garden, or with the visit and heritage site

Hiking and pilgrimages
Hautecombe Discipleship School (3 months – 1 year of biblical, theological and spiritual courses`)
